The seeing was quite good early-on last night. The forecast for later in
the evening was even better, but as the night progressed the sky was
stubbornly rocky and unsettled as waves of cool air could be felt passing
through with a light westerly breeze (not good here.) Finally, after quite
a while of staring threateningly at my laptop screen and uttering the
occasional obscenity, the image on the laptop stilled and I was able to
capture the image below.

The prongs of the Gomer Sinus are seen on the meridian in the south as are
Elysium Mons near the equator and the NPC outcropping Lemuria in the north.
A haze stretches across the globe and a bright orographic clouds appears on
the following morning limb.

It was taken with a Takahashi Mewlon 180 and a barlow 2,8x. With a DMK camera. and RGB filters. The seeing was not bad,but with some turbulence.

Tonight the sky has calmed down a bit,'and I finally got a look at the red
planet,Mars, which has now passed the opposition but it is still an object
in favorable position.
Well you see the white clouds on the right,in addition to now in strong polar
cap regression.

北極冠とその周囲のダークフリンジが目立ちます。SYRTIS MAJORの左側とHELLAS付近に夕靄があるようです。
明け方はTEMPE付近に朝靄があるようにも思います。

The amount and the variety of clouds found on the Tharsis hemisphere is just amazing ! This set is taking at the time when the orographic cloud over Olympus is just beginning to form. They are already formed over Arsia/Pavonis/Ascraeus. The bottom B,W47 and UV are all the sum of two frames under WinJupos.
