Please find attached a Venus observation made this evening. A much more conventional view was had this evening, although the seeing conditions were very similar,I am tempted to write of yesterday's anomalies as a product of poor seeing conditions unless anyone else saw/imaged a similar thing.
Illuminated disk: The markings on the disk tonight were much more elusive and ill-defined,apart from the darker markings near the limb band,I found it hard to observe anything definite on the disk. The markings that were seen had a rather bluish tone to them.
Unilluminated Disk: Not seen
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
Terminator: Geometrically regular- no apparent deviations although there perhaps a few darker regions within the terminator shading itself.
Cusp Caps: SCC larger,NCC probably brighter definitely smaller. No apparent extensions into the night side. Both cusp collars seemed to be about even.
Seeing continued to drop off and there seemed to be little point in attempting any filter work.
