My first go at imaging Neptune from last Tuesday night with ASI224MC and
Baader 610nm LP filter. Reduced transparency but reasonable seeing. 6mins
total exposure. Planet colourised for aesthetic reasons
Neptune seems to show some spot detail in S polar region which is present on
all 3 of my captures from the session and matches that on an image by Nick
Haig who was imaging at the same time. Unfortunately I was not able to do a
rotation animation to confirm the presence of the details,as the session
was too brief.

On 30 August the seeing here was quite good. I have captured a series of 5 avi's,each 4 min.
long at 15 fps. After careful processing of the avi's in each of the individual resulting stacks
two brigh spots were present,a bigger and a smaller one. There was also some background noise.
After derotation of the 5 stacks with WinJupos in the endproduct indeed two distinct bright spots
could be detected with the following coordinates: Spot 1: L 124.5,B -51.6 and
Spot 2: L 99.7,B -0.3 (see map).. The consistency of these spot is also illustrated in a short animation.
