Dear sirs, here is yesterday's data (July 1) which, as today's images that I will send shortly, were obtained under average seeing and transparency. Both IR and UV imaging was possible, and resolution was acceptable (but cloud contrast could not be heavily enhanced).
Wavy dark cloud boundaries (mostly near the equator, and close to the limb) were seen. A bright IR feature (spot; arrowed) curiously did not rotate with atmospheric features (see gif animation between first and last image). I wonder if this could be an enhanced sunlight reflection on venusian clouds (in a favorable Sun-Venus-Earth angle ???).
In UV, polar regions and an equatorial region near the limb (arrowed) were particularly bright.
The usual IR and IR-UV gif animations are added to show atmospheric rotation and IR-UV often complementary patterns.
To avoid repeated data, I will send the june30-july2 map projection with today's images shortly.
