Excellent transparent sky and steady images occurred during the session.
AL on DS was there, faint, not level1 intensity.
From the terminator AL exhibited a dark red color changing to greyish towards the limb of the planet.
Soft darl markings on the DS zone was noted.
No defined contour of the limb of DS diluted into the blue sky,but cusp extensions both sides..
It was some hours before the inferior conjunction. A good observation at the refractor.

Here's my image, one day short of inferior conjunction. The forecast was for clouds today, so I had to give it a go yesterday even though the conditions were far from ideal. High level haze, fast moving lower clouds and some drizzle thrown in too. Needless to say, the seeing was terrible as well. The IR filter helped with the seeing somewhat and I managed to get 500 frames from one capture that was usable to process.
This was my first attempt at either imaging or actually seeing it this close to the sun. Despite the challenges, I felt privileged to have had the experience.
