Here is a venus report using the 80mm refractor under good images in spite of the hot temperatures last August 17th august.
Some light level on the DS was noted however of less intensity than the last 12th session and also others.
Anyway, something was there, still the undefined contour at/ near the DS limb, all colors and IL.
Colors were noted near the terminator and until what was possible against the filter in use and magnification.
Sky transparency was good, not excellent as for the 12th session, but good enough.
The W23A filter exhibited as shown on the sketch intensity zones drawn.
The 80A filter exhibited some light at confidential levels, the W58 exhibited a little more intensity above.
Dark markings on the DS zone were noted for low contrast.
A good session where data was noted, not impression. No defined contour at the DS limb, never, under a scanned method to see the crescent, zones, never the whole disk at the same time (conducting to the well known illusory optical eye artefact).
Never the DS limb was seen as a lighted arc. The best indice of the illusory optical eye-brain artefact. A shown lighted arc is the trace of an illusory eye vision.
Reporting this kind of lighted arc all around is suspect, more when the planet phase stays at 0,02-0.2 and more. Excuse me for this few.
This means the question remains elsewhere and of physical cause, not brain cause from gents led by advanced reasons, even physical origin.
The investigation is continuing mainly against the 2012 conjunction (data results on the alpo jpn alpo website). 
And the intensity levels noted during 2012 were significantly higher, so that an intensity level was set from 1 to 3 as scaling the phenomena.
