Hi all, after a long period of cloud coverage, strong winds and poor seeing,I had an opportunity to test the pixelteq filter (used by several observers, and thus, needed for direct comparisons),stacked with a Sloan Y' (to eliminate minor IR and visible light leaks from the Pixelteq filter; stacking with a Sloan z'-s',820-920nm completely eliminates the planet image). Also, for a rough comparison with a typical CH4 1000nm filter,I tested the pixelteq filter in Jupiter (@ the same image scale of Venus imaging).
For Jupiter, and as expected, the pixelteq filter behaves as a leaky CH4 1000nm filter, and may be useful for a preferential visualization of higher altitude features without the strong cutoff of the CH4 890nm filters.
For Venus,my subjective impression is that the nightside image is easier to visualize when compared with my previous results (obtained with a "canonic" CH4 1000nm filter; 1000nm/20nm).
Some dark features are seen, which are consistent with the WinJupos map,but I was not able to detect any "bright spot".
Two independent Venus images are presented, the former with darker skies and less cloud interference, but both show similar features. Unfortunately, both also suffer from observatory wall interference.
Anyway, morning imaging is feasible providing that reasonable conditions are present.
I am sorry, but my observatory LAT/LONG info got corrupted in JUPOS. The correct figures are: 38o41'12"N 9o19'47"W

We experienced blue skies over the UK and a mini late summer heat wave.

Here is a venus report using the 80mm refractor under good images and a transparent sky.
AL was not there confirming the 02nd september observation, this is finished.
Some dark markings were not on the crescent.
