Attached is an observation of Venus made on 15th October in average conditions. The planet was easily seen with the naked eye in the bright daytime sky. A number of interesting points:
-Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
-Terminator: Geometrically regular
-Cusp Caps: The cusp caps showed again the cusp anomaly whereby the terminator deviates from the usual ellipse and becomes much flatter. The effect was noted on the 14th October but seeing conditions were too poor to verify the other filter results obtained on the 14th. Northern cusp cap again slightly larger and brighter.
-Cusp collars: both seen- about equal.
