Attached is a drawing of Venus made this morning. The planet is now getting close to the Sun as superior conjunction occurs on 4th June. The phase of the planet is now quite large at around 95%, and I observed the planet with a W15 yellow filter in moderate seeing. A darker streak to the south was fairly prominent. Also: -Bright Limb Band: Not really seen -Terminator: Geometrically regular -Cusp Caps: The northern cusp seemed to bright large and bright, the southern cusp was smaller and duller. -Cusp Collars: Not seen[Paul G.
