It was nice to be back on the farm and in the observatory after a week away in South Africa. I finished of a rather rushed session (I overslept!) with Venus at 22 deg altitude. Saturn was at the same altitude, and Mars, although pushing up to 30 deg, is still very small, so no easy targets at the moment! I have noted previously that the subtle IR890 dark lateral features in the south, so it was interesting to see one in the north this morning.[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]
