Damian Peach (11" (28 cm) Celestron SCT:ATK-1HS CCD & Philips ToUcam pro)
Hi all,
Some Saturn images from last night are attached. Seeing was very poor to extremely poor, and some of the worst seeing i have seen in some months, with the polar jet overhead. Also, high winds reaching ~50km/hr at times, AND two rain showers occured!. I must be mad ;-)
None the less, there were a few periods where the turbulence/winds eased a little and allowed some images.
Jupiter proved impossible later under the "river of turbulence". It can only get better!.

11" (28 cm) Celestron SCT @ f/31.4.
ATK-1HS CCD & Philips ToUcam pro.
Integrated Light: ~800 x 1/10th secs
Red (no IR rejection): (600 - 1200nm): ~1000 x 1/10th secs
Colour (ToUcam): ~500 images.
Seeing very poor (Pickering 0-4) heavy fast seeing.
Transparency variable, with occasional showers (5.5mag.)
Wind very gusty NW (30-50km/hr.) No dew.
Eq Diam=20.4"
Altitude= 50-61 degs.

Raffaele Barzacchi ( Mewlon 250mm : Vesta-pro or Toucam-pro)

I have taken the first 3 images at F/32 because seeing was poor in that moment(4-5/10) but the transparence was very good. I've taken the last 3 at F/42 where seeing was nearly 5-6/10 and the last 6/10. The transparence was really bad 3/10 because of clouds!
Apart from the last, 663frames/1000, I elaborate the images with 650/1000 frames at 10fps. So each film is of 100sec.
The U.T. is of 13 Dec while Local Time is 14 Dec.
The spot is clearly visible and if anyone want, I can send a dvx film with rotation.
Takahashi Mewlon 250, Philips Vesta Pro, barlow Televue 2X(first 3)-3X(last 3), F/32-F/42, no ir-cut, 1/25 and 10fps.
Best regards,
