解説（安達）
　全体的にコントラストが低い状態が続いている。南極冠の周囲は、黄色っぽ
く明るく見える。北極地方が白く明るい。前日でも指摘したが、永長氏の画像
ではニクス・オリンピカ(Nix Olympica;125W,+20)が赤い点として見事に写って
いる。Damian Peach氏の画像では、南極冠の周辺に白くバンドができている。
今シーズンは、このような姿がしばしば記録されている。しかし、これが実在
のものかどうかは、はなはだ疑わしい状況だった。なぜならば、画像処理の過
程で、火星のこの位置にリング状の模様が出来上がるからだ。
　今回のDamian Peach氏の画像は、この白いバンドが実在のものであることを
はっきりとさせた重要な画像だ。今回の画像では、色が白く白雲のように記録
されている。位置から見ると、火星面の日中であり、霜の可能性はない。IRで
は写らないことから、地表の模様でもない。ミッチェル山（Novs Mons;330W,
-70)の位置から西に拡がったかのように写っている。原因は良く分からない。
ヘラス(Hellas;290W,-50)は淡く霧か雲によって覆われていることが分かる。

The state with low contrast continues to the pattern overall.
Surroundings of the South Poler Cap look bright like yellow. An Arctic
area is white and bright. Nix Olympica (125W,+20) is splendidly
reflected in the image of Einaga though it pointed out the day before
as a red point. In the image of Damian Peach, the band falls in white
around the South Poler Cap. Such an appearance is often recorded at
this season. However, it was a very doubtful situation whether this
 was the one of real existence. Because a ring pattern is completed
by the process of the image data processing at this position of Mars.
The image of this Damian Peach is an important image to make it this
white band is to exist clearly. In this image, the color is recorded
in white like white clouds. It is daytime on the Mars side when seeing
from the position, and there is no possibility of frost. It is not a
pattern of surface of the earth because it doesn't reflect in IR either.
It is reflected as the extension to the west from the position of Novs
Mons. The cause is not understood well. It is understood that Hellas
is lightly covered with the fog or the cloud.

夜中に晴れだしましたが、３時過ぎには雲が流れ始め、３時３０分頃からは曇ってしまいました。
久しぶりに天の川が見える、当地としてはごく普通の透明度でしたが、気流が安定せず、シーイングはとても悪
く、スタック枚数も３００ｆｒａｍｅｓ前後となってしまいました。軽いウェーブレット処理でも、荒れた画像となってしま
いました。
・あまり詳細な画像は得られませんでしたが、変化はないようです。
・オリンポス山の黒影はどうにか写ったのですが、タルシス三山は捉えられなかったようです。
・それにしても南極冠が小さーい！

透明度  seeingともに今ひとつ、雲の影響で明るさが変化し
    画像処理しづらい。

My first clearish dawn (apart from two with appalling seeing) since July
18th enabled me to bag another Mars image. Seeing was poor but
not the usual "appalling", i.e. some details were actually visible!!!
Sinus Meridiani is well shown plus Syrtis Major is just about to come
around the limb. Hellas can just be seen as a slightly brigher oval
in the blue image.

Similar conditions to yesterday, though Hellas was further around onto the disk. Note the lack of markings, notably Zea Lacus being absent.
A light haze is again present over the basin. The edge is Syrtis Major is appearing. Also note the SPC remnant again.
14" (35cm) Celestron SCT @ f/39.5.
Lumenera LU075M CCD camera.
Seeing again poor-fair (Pickering 3-6.)
Transparency excellent (6.0mag.)
Wind NNW (5-10mph.) No dew.  Alt=46-49 degs.
