解説（安達）
　キンメリウム(Mare Cimmerium;220W,-20)を中心とした半球には、目立った
変化は見られなかった。夕方のターミネーターには夕霧が非常によく目立って
いた。
　１３日に発生したダストストームはピルッハエ(Pyrrhae;35W,-15)からクリセ
（Cryse;35W,+10)にかけてみられるが、明るさは一気に鈍くなり、ダストの広
がりは見られなくなった。典型的なローカル・ダストストームだったようだ。

  In the hemisphere that centered on Mare Cimmerium (220W,-20), a
remarkable change was not seen. The evening mist was remarkable very
well in terminater in the evening.
Dust storm generated on the 13th is seen from Pyrrhae (35W,-15) to
Cryse (35W,+10). However, brightness dulled at a dash, and the extension
of dust storm was not seen. This dust seems to have been typical local
dust strom.(reported by 8 observers)

コメント：今夜は曇りの予報だったが晴間がときどき広がったので、何とか撮像できました。
シーイング、透明度ともに良好で、眼視でキンメリア人の海や北極地方の極雲
が良く見えました。南極冠はかすかにわかりました。今回の接近では、視直径は
前回の大接近に及ばないものの、すでに細部の描写は超えています。

  Here is a partial enlarge-ment/close-up of the northern part of Mars taken on Oct 14, at 01:48 UTC
The area between Oxia Palus/Margaritifer Sinus and Niliacus Lacus are interesting in this image.Not
only the Hydaspes canal but also some other small lines in the area at the southern edge of Niliacus Lacus
can be seen.
