WOZ/WOY merging? -- the story continues by John H. Rogers |
Hi everyone, Here are the latest images of white spot Z - with many thanks to these observers. White spot Y was reduced to a tiny bright spot which swung around the S edge of white spot Z. But in last night's images from England, you see it has come through without merging - yet! Will it now turn round and merge, or will it survive unscathed, or is this actually a cyclonic eddy produced in the interaction?? PS: Please remember to keep IR images separate from visible ones. Best wishes, John John H. Rogers : Jupiter Section Director, [British Astronomical Association.]
