NEWS:
I found an intersting new dark disturbance of the SEB this morning

2006/11/07 Saturn found of SEB dark disturbance
Found was a well defined dark disturbance with a position at
the inner-edge of the SEBs.It appeared in a red filter image.
See animation and images-set.
Animation made of the same images as in the images-set.

Another find of spots in images from my Nov 11 session on Saturn.
In the same images were the dark SEB dist was visible,we see in the
EZ-North or the nortern edge of the EB a chain of white spots which
seem to move with the rotation.See images-set and animation.

We could estimate the CM3 of the biggest of these spots at -300-
We find the spots also back in the 05:10 UTC images from earlier in
the session(below). They appear well in a normal contrast image.
It looks this CM3=300 region is a very active one.

After I processed the rest of the images of my Nov 7 session on Saturn
I found one image with the disturbance in the SEB close to the CM.
So I can estimate a CM3 of about 290.
The blue arrow shows an additional bright spot in the same region.

subject: Saturn EZ-s dark disturbances found
At least 2 dark EZ-s disturbances are found, also in the images from Nov 7, 2006.
The animation shows them moving with the rotation. The best visible disturbance is arrowed in blue.
The longitude is nearly the same as the recently found SEB-s disturbance which is arrowed in yellow here:

Saturn SPB structure
Recent observations showing structure within the SPB of Saturn

white oval in SPB/SPR found
  _______________________________________

Found in red light images from Nov 7 was a clear
white oval within the South Polar Band.
  see attachements.

The region of longitude is only a few degr.F of the recent
found SEBs dark disturbance, see images.

The contrast of this spot is low,but considering the
only fair seeing during this session, it should be visible
very well in higher resolution images.

 Saturn SEB-disturb & STrZ feature
I have attached a partial enlargement of an animation I made from the
red light images of Nov 7 were I found the SEB dark disturbance at CM 295-300 (at that time)

I have arrowed the area of the STrZ directly above the dark spot in were it
looks that the influence of the spot is visible in the STrZ or is connected with it.
Interesting are also 2 dark condensations at the same longitude within the STeB, which
seem to move with the rotation too.

improved view EZ-n bright features (Saturn)
Attached or linked is an improved high contrast view showing
a kind of chain of white spots within the EZ-n,captured in red
light R 610nm images on Nov 7, 2006.

久しぶりに観測できました。
しかしシーイングが悪く、5時を過ぎてからようやく撮影ができる状態になりました。
R60フィルターを使ってみました。
連続した精細な画像が少なく、白斑があるかないかなどの様子はわかりません。
