このところ、金星のある西空に比べ、天頂付近にある土星の方がシーイングが良くないことが多い。

3月28日土星画像のSEBに白斑らしきものがありますので強調してみました。シーイングが悪いのが残念です。

ubject: 2007/03/28 Saturn observations/SEB-z WS@ L3=340
_________________________________________________________

The WS in the SEB-zone at L3=340 is captured in these red light images.
It's probably the same spot, unchanged in appearance as the one captured
on Febr 4 at L3=355.This would mean the spot has drifted approximately
0.28° p/d in the P(rotation) direction.(system 3).

(R 610nm/ATK-1HS-10in Newton).

The observations succeeded after the air was clear but unsteady for 3 days
caused by moderate eastern winds. The air stabilised the 4th day just before
the clouds arived.

Saturn SEB ws(L3=340) comparison
Attached is a comparison of 2 observations of the SEB white spot(late March at L3=340)
Saturn in February and March.
Note that the spot seems to have moved slightly southward in latitude in the
March image. It is not longer in the mid of the SEB but it seems border to
the south-edge of the SEB.
Note also the notable difference in size between both images, caused by the
increasing distance.(images: 10in Newton & ATK-1HS camera& red filter).
