David Arditti (355mm SC)
The night of February 24/25 having been cloudy, this was the closest
I could get to imaging Saturn at opposition. Seeing was poor.
I therefore reduced the amplification on the C-14 from the usual x3
Barlow to a x1.6,and took images across the spectrum from 320-804nm.

The over-brightness of the rings compared to the globe is seen to be
greater in the IR than the R,and greater in the UV than the B. This
is unexpected to me,as I expected just a trend towards greater ring
brightness from longer to shorter wavelengths, based on my imagery in
the visible at past oppositions.

The exposures were:
IR 133ms x 240s
R,G,B 33ms x 60s
UV 4000ms x 240s
with about 33% of all frames taken stacked.
