At last Saturn is now high enough that I can observe it before my departure for work (04:30 a.m.) Up till now could only catch it on my days off - Sundays & Wednesdays. A nice bonus this morning was a transit of Rhea & shadow in decent seeing. At commencement (03:30 UT) I spotted Rhea approaching the globe and anticipated its shadow which would be further north than I had seen that of Tethys as seen on Nov. 12. It was seen at once in the NTZ. The satellite itself was followed onto the limb where it stood out quite well, but was soon lost as it moved beyond the limb shading.
