As the mirrors of my usual 250 mm cassegrain are still in Italy for correction,I had to exhume from the cellar my old 178 mm newtonian I was using back in the years 2002-2004. A very small diameter but with very good optical quality. These are my first images with it since 2004 september. Very good seeing.

As Damian noted (he only lives about a third of a mile from me) the seeing this morning wasn't as steady as it had been on the 3rd. Three of the four Galileans
were on show though,Ganymede casting its shadow onto the disk.

透明度がきわめて悪かった。撮影できるまでにかなり待ったが漸く撮れた。
シーイングは良かった。

梅雨の晴れ間がわずかにやってきました。
気になるBA付近ですが、雲が多く、シーングモいまいちで、おまけにRGBのDBKは
セットミスで
すべてモノクロ画像。LRGBをつくれず、ちょっとがっかり。
透明度が悪く、methaneは拡大率を下げても６〜７秒も露出がかかり、BAにAWOが
絡んでるの
か、判然としません。
この頃はこれまでの画像処理の仕方を少し変えて、細部を描出するように工夫し
ています。
また、Astronomik L-RGB filtter Type ２ｃ を使ってRGB合成を試みてい
ますが、なかなか
気に入った色彩が得られません。

Seeing was mostly poor but there was one reasonble set. The shadow of Ganymede can be seen just touching the edge of the Planet.
