The disturbed STB following Oval BA is seen.

Here is Jupiter on 2010/06/25 ( 2 sets + 1 animation).
Temperature + 10,5 °C.
The transparency was good and the seeing was,by brief moments, excellent,
specially for the images taken with the infra-red filter (IR 685 nm).

Tomio Akutsu (355mmSC C14) |

I have been out of action for weeks because my filter wheel broke down. Thanks to Andy Homeyer for fixing it. My filter had to go back to New Mexico then back here in Cebu. My cousin Grace brought it back home! When the filter wheel arrived,my right foot got sprained so I was our for a few more days.
Seeing was average this morning. Jupiter was more than 70 deg when I took this image.
The GRS is rising on the right. The SEB is still faded but note the orange band on the SEBn. The SEBs is a bit busy and looks like part of the EZ. The NEB is very busy with lots of ovals.

Christophe Pellier (250mm Cassegrain) |
Good seeing but collimation was slightly off - after all those years,I have almost forgotten how to align the mirrors of a newtonian
Note the dark blue spot at the end of the STB remnant. I would not have anticipated such a long disturbance effect following the BA/AWO merger...
Now that the STB remnant have got stuck f.BA,maybe we will see a new one forming farther in the belt.
