Paul G. Abel(203mm reflector)
Europa was due to pass into Jupiter's shadow at around 0215UT,and I was planning on observing this and make a timing when the satellite vanished from view. Alas,Jupiter was obscured by a chimney 10 minutes before the event- Spode strikes again.
Seeing was only average this morning, and some of the finer features and belts were a little difficult.
SPR light brownish gray, most interesting either the STB is very broad at the moment,or else the STZ seperating the SSTB and STB is very weak. A White oval was seen in NTBn.
GRS just coming into view- no sign of the SEB(S) this morning, indeed the SEB(N) was quite difficult and rather devoid of colour appearing as it did with a grayish tone.
There was much activity in the NEB; a number of festoons clearly visible in the EZ and where they connected with the NEB,they appeared as very dark gray elongations. A VERY bright white Oval was present in the NEB on the fol. side. NPR grayish-brown.

The seeing was bad.
The transparency was fair.

After sending pictures of a moment ago, this image of the movie was ending
in the trash, but since I was a little 'time,I decided to draw the same. At
the end is better than the others,so try to clog the mail with this second
posting!

Carmelo Zannelli (355mm SC )
Seeing conditions little fair for this Jupiter image which I enclose
here, where the GRS and the Z spot are well placed..... also some
rifts are visibles in the NEB and the evanescent SEB seems to me like
a fishbone.
