a brief view of Saturn for me tonight as I had much to do the next day! The planet was at a reasonable altitude and a bright waning Moon was nearby. Saturn was very much a planet of two halves last night: the southern hemisphere was much 'quieter' compared to the northern hemisphere.
Globe: The only feature observed with any real definition was the SEB(N) which was a light brownish red colour. There was no sign of SEB(S). A thin EB was present,as was the NEB which appeared to be double and a bluish feature. The greenish tint of the previous apparition appears to have returned to the NTropZ and NTZ. Both NTB and NTZ fairly easy to see.
Rings: A-ring a brownish yellow colour,Cassini Division well marked. B-Ring bright and white in colour, some hints of the dusky B2-Ring. Dark C-Ring visible at ansae edges.
Tethys immediately under the rings.

reasonable seeing. There are some small cloud details visible but otherwise this region seems fairly quiet.
