I know all the attention is on Jupiter at the moment, but I wanted to share this view of Saturn, showing the current storm. This is an RGB image taken in reasonably steady skies at dusk last night.

Here are some recent Saturn images. It appears that the SED is broken into several nuclei,at least two,and three suspected.
I would say, without certitude, that the suspected first spot looks more proeminent in G light, although in B,this is the last that shines brighter.
Best wishes
Christophe
PS these images are still made with my usual secondary mirror - the new one is still in Italy. It has none the less been corrected of its astigmatism thanks to a new mechanical support...

Here is an image of Saturn from Trevors place in Broken Hill on last thursday evening. The SED storm shows up well in this image, just as it showed up in Trevors images from the same evening posted a couple of days ago. The image here is slightly more processed to enhance visibility of the multiple storm nuclei that can be seen.
There is also an unrelated storm close to the EZ, near the left limb in this image.
