シーイングが悪く180xの眼視では白斑は確認できませんでしたが画像処理後に何とか確認できました。

Still not quite caught the bright NTrZ spot; but the second drawing shows it
coming into view - just in time before the sky became too bright. Minor darker
regions on the NEB - both drawings.

The storm is brilliant and appears to continue to expand eastward.
It was less conspicuous in NIR (image to follow) and not visible in methane.
I was unable to obtain UV images, since the seeing deteriorated severely.

少し早く起きて、土星の白斑を見てみた。白斑が狼煙のように見える。1990年に発生
した白斑もびっくりだったが、今回も見事！！

Here is my first observation of Saturn for the new apparition,and what an
apparition it promises to be with a new very bright white spot. I made this
drawing at 0449UT on Friday morning having been up all night drawing various
lunar craters. Seeing was average or less (AIII-IV),but still it is lovely to
have Saturn back in our skies!
The planet itself again appears to have the same muted surface features as last
year. The NEB(N) seemed to be the darkest feature and the belts in the northern
hemisphere seem to be a bluish gray colour. A white spot can be found just near
to the proc. limb. I have to say I thought the NPR were also fairly dark- there
may well have been a NPC present,but I am far from certain.
The rings have now opened up nicely up,and the CD was fairly prominent,as was
the C-Ring. A nice start to the new apparition. Damian,have you unpacked your
telescope yet?!
