This is an image taken with a normal lens (not through the telescope this time) of a waste water dump from the Space Shuttle, when it passed low in the Southwest, one day before landing. It was twilight and a low pass but was able to see it a second in the binoculars and was impressive! Looked like a comet-tail. Would have been a spectacular naked-eye sight when it was darker and higher in the sky. A pity I could see it only a second, but I had to switch to the video to grab a picture!
