Seeing was excellent this evening with Saturn close to the meridian. But transparency was poor.
It's amazing that the change of the NED just a few days ago is very obvious. On Feb 5,the wake was very plain while know it's knotty! Note the bright feature south of the NED. Is this another disturbance?
The C ring can be seen in these images. There is even a hint of the Encke Minima.

Here's a Saturn observation I made in the early hours of 8th Feb. Alas,the
storm was around the other side of the planet,but still there was plenty to
see.
The belts are still fairly weak,but I'm fairly sure the NEB was a double
feature. The NTB could also be made out,and what looked like a dark NPC. I
had the impression that much of the Northern hemisphere,from NEB(n) onwards,
was of a greenish hue. The SEB(s) could be made out just above the rings,so
too could the STB.
There was a dark line visible immediately below the B-ring as it crossed the
disk. I took this to be either a dark portion of the C-Ring,or the northern
edge of the ShRG. Interestingly,the C-Ring seemed to be brighter on the proc.
ansae than on the fol.
Hopefully soon,a clear night will coincide with the view of the storm!!!
