Here is an observation I made of Saturn last night.
It was interesting for many reasons. First, there was a nice collection of white spots in the NTropZ.
I should stress that to my eyes, they did not appear to be exact white ovals,by that I mean that the white regions had dark
defined boundaries in the North (their northern boraders coming from
dark material in NEB(N)) and South (dark material coming from the NTB.
There may have been a brighter region in the NEBz but I am far from
certain of this.
Rings were also of interest. Firstly a Terby White Spot was visible- I have never seen
this before but it was present and reasonably well
defined. The whole of the ring system looked brighter than usual, and
this seems to have effected the colours; the A-Ring had a definite light brown colour.
The B-Ring was more white than it has looked in a
while. The B1-Ring was present and once again there was the suggestion
of spokes on the following ansae. I will stress that although the
objects looked liked spokes they could easily have been just darker
sections of the B1-Ring,so I will wait for confirmation from other
observers who observed the planet at CM3: 8.9 recently before I am
willing to assert that they are definitely spokes. Whatever they were,
I am confident that there was some darker, irregular patches on this side of the ansae.
The satellite Mimas is shown in the drawing under the rings. Seeing
really dropped off at 0044UT and there seemed little point in
continuing.

A very clear night yesterday, with a sufficient seeing,i think this is probably
my best result on this very difficult planet!

The storm remains very conspicuous and Tethys and its shadow are in transit.
I have attached a four image .GIF animation of Saturn from 23 March shot between 03:57 - 05: 39 UT.
It shows Tethys and its shadow in transit, the "head" of the storm coming into view, and possible spokes rotating in following Ring B.

The seeings in these two different Italy zones was the same, infact
the result is good but not excellent...

We almost lost the telescope wheeling it outside on its casters. One caster spun
around the leg causing the entire scope to tip over. Luckily Gail helped
stabilize it but the effort caused major damage to her herniated disk in her
lumbar spine.
