Condition was very variable today. I had to image early while Saturn is low to catch the NED. Seeing was poor during the start of the session but improved as Saturn got higher. Transparency was variable due to haze.
The NED is still going strong! It's fascinating to see the head of the NED surrounded by the tail end it made 3 months ago.

Well, the weather conditions delivered a fairly reasonable night here in Leicester last night, and I was able to secure three drawings and a number of intensity estimates. Seeing was average for a while but deep go up to AII before some low drifting cloud came in at 0020UT. Attached are the disk drawings, one made in IL (drawing 1) and another made with a W21 (orange) filter (drawing 2). When the conditions improved I made a close up drawing at a power of x312 of Saturn's northern hemisphere- this is drawing 3.
My impressions of the globe and the wrings were as follows:
(i). Globe: The SPR seemed to be more extensive tonight, and of a slightly bluish tone. Interestingly, either the SEB has shifted upward slightly or else the STB has become broader; I was not at all certain what the only belt present in the southern hemisphere was- my guess is it was the SEB. The EZ(n) was a bright region, though not as bright as on previous occasions,I only just suspected a EB present in the region.
The NEB was a double feature, though the NEB(s) was rather indistinct; indeed it seemed to fade into the NEBz and was indistinguishable from the zone in places. The NEB(n) was fairly well defined. The storm was present (though in in opinion,it was not as bright as before). Visually,it seems to curve downwards (NF direction),and it's 'core' seems to be on or very close to the NTB on the NTropZ side; it still retains its comet like appearance. On the following side of the storm the NTropZ is noticeably darker than on the proc. side and I had the impression that there were a series of small, slightly irregular ovals at intermitten intervals along the zone; certainly the storm seems to have fragmented the northern edge of the NEB(n) in places. Both the NTropZ and NTZ contained a greenish tint. The NNTB seemed intact, and a NPC was strongly suspected.
(ii). Rings: Outer 1/3 A-ring darker and light brown,B1-Ring bright and yellowish,B2-Ring yellowish grey. Cring best seen at ansae edges. Spokes suspected, enhanced by the W#21 filter, but I wasn't at all certain how best to depict them.
