Attached is a drawing I made during a brief observation of Saturn I made last night. Initially seeing was reasonable,but by 0024UT the seeing dropped off the scale. There was little point in continuing so I closed down.
Globe: SPR still a large greyish-blue region,a STB may hae been glimpsed or it coluld have been a contrast effect between the darker SPR and the brighter STZ. SEB still rather faint and a similar colour to NEB. EX bright; I am inclined to think that the EB observed here was really just a contrast effect between the two different colou r(and different intensity) zones- namely the EZ(s) and EZ(n). NEB double,though not uniformly so; it seems as though there were regions where the NEB(s),NEBz and NEB(n) were all one feature- some brighter regions located within the NEBz and darker sections present in NEB(s) and NEB(n).NTropZ seemed to contain a number of brighter regions,and the NTB was not a uniform belt and seemed to be separated into three distinct pieces. A couple of brighter regions also present in NTZ. NNTB was present and uniform in appearance. A darker NPC was suspected in the NPR.
Rings: A-Ring a light brown colour- again darker for about 2/3 of the distance from the outer edge in. Cassini Division seen,B1=-Ring yellow,B2-Ring a vague light grey colour. C-Ring only seen well at ansae edges. Satellite Rhea is shown in the drawing. No intensity estimates made or filter work done,seeing became much to unstable for this after the disk drawing was made.

Here is an image from April 24th under fair seeing conditions (despite the northerly wind.) The large dark spot is interesting. This feature has been around for a while now. Maybe it could be considered Saturnfs gGreat Dark Spoth J
