Seeing was good this evening. It's been a while since my last image because I went on a trip to China to visit my grandfather's home town.
The NED is still spectacular! The old and new material uplifted by the NED are interacting forming bright and complex features. The head of the NED is still very bright.

Please find attached two Saturn drawings I was able to make last night. Seeing was decidedly variable but I was able to obtain some good moments,during which time the storms were rather clear.
The first drawing is in IL and I was reasonably confident that there was a interesting 'knot like' object just on the CM- it was not overly detailed but did catch my eye. The NTropZ seems very bright,and there seemed to be a greenish tint present in the NTZ. SEB and STB seen,SPR dark and dusky; Rhea was near the SPR.
I decided to make a drawing using the W#80A as the storm was quite prominent in this light. I suspected a a lighter region in the SEBz but I am not certain of this. Interestingly,Titan appeared very Red last night and I was almost unable to pick it up in the blue filter- has anyone else noticed this change of colour? David Gray I know has observed this dark orange colour recently too.
I was planning on obtaining an intensity estimate set and make another drawing; alas the clouds came up at 2326UT and I was forced to stop observations.

The transparency was average and the seeing was bad.

Had hoped to get colours for a colourised version but cloud was approaching.
However the striking reddish appearance of Titan inspired me to tackle this,
albeit with some haste! Like Paul Abel I have been struck by the
apparently stronger orange hue lately - I see the Cassini probe has found that
Titan's overlying haze has dropped in height; so perhaps a clue to the stronger
tint?
On this date I was struck by the near redness: "red" is often a contentious
issue with planets & stars etc. I have to say that I am never impressed by
certain popularisers descriptions of salmon-pink Mars and orange stars such as
Betelgeuse as "blood-red". I always say if they have blood that colour they need
medical attention, and would be surprised to see them walking about! Anyone who
thinks that Mars is fully red should spend a little time looking at it with say
aW#25 filter and look without it to then see the planet looking a relatively
anaemic yellow.
Carbon stars are often described as very red but my favourites such as V Aquilae
and VX Andromedae look more of a deep copper hue to me. Perhaps the reddest
object I have observed was Jupiter's GRS back in 1965. But never have I seen
the red such as the rear/brake lights of cars etc show!
