Kicked off my Saturn campaign for this apparition this morning.
Had good seeing around 2am to capture Jupiter so stayed out until just after 5am to have a crack at Saturn, albeit at an alt of only 15 degrees.
Of course the seeing suffered at such a low alt but was still able to resolve the CD. Thinking back to Dec 14th 2010 when I first imaged the birth of the Great Storm, the seeing then was so bad I couldn't even resolve the CD.
Looking at this latest data set, nothing stands out in the way of any bright spots so I guess all is quiet regarding SED's but as always I live in hope that ounce again Saturn will throw up something unexpected, as has so often been the case over the last several years.
