Imaged Saturn this morning, the seeing was fast and quite variable. The hex is will defined, particularly in IR,even at this level of seeing the hint of the coloured banding in RGB is there.

To circumvent at least somewhat poor seeing, only by using an IR pass filter
685. In this picture we have 4 threads catch Saturn 3 being converted to black
and white, while a blue was left in the original color that is captured by
FireCapture when using debayer with GRGB option.
4 taken in can be seen clearly hexagon and the polar ring C and the planetary
groups. Capture already taken the daylight and a hellish heat, so not the best
conditions. I think this year as the summer progresses and the planet better
positioning will have a show piece, as we in the southern hemisphere we have it
on very favorable time.
All photos taken with:
GSO Newton 12" f/5 + Qhy 5L color + Powermate 4X + IR Pass 685
Stacking the AS! 2 and processing with Registax and Photofiltre
Polar projection on Saturn
More processing of the photos of the day February 6.
Keeping the tradition of leaving a sample of the color (blue) that appears on
the screen capture FireCapture due to IR Pass filter 685 and the other two
converting to black and white. 3,000 of 5,000 frames were used to make stacking
with AS! 2. This captures in particular got a more stable window seeing over
other so the details were clearer in addition to result in a higher number of
frames to stack.
Processing using Registax 6 and Photofiltre.
