Imaged Saturn this morning in marginally better seeing than March 19th. Again my best data was early in the session. Have quite reasonable IR data. Of particular interest are the data from 16:21 & 16:47. I just am not sure but there may be something very close to the hex vertices at approx Lat +74.6 L3 280 and Lat +75.6 L3 336.
I have attached an animation of 3 consecutive IR data sets, captured at approx 25 minute intervals. The hex is very well seen and the animation hints at something very close to two of the vertices, almost like an extension. I have also attached another animation of the polar projections from the same data sets and again there is just the hint of something very near the vertices. It could well be a seeing or processing related artifact or rather small scale features at the limit of the seeing for this session.
The wind shear charts for the next 24 hrs or so look very encouraging compared to what has been the case of late. If the cloud stays away I hope to get better data.........soon.
