シーイングは比較的良かったが安定はしなかった。透明度も不安定であった。

T.Ishibashi (310mm Newtonian) |
透明度は良くなかったのですが、まずまずのシーイングでした。
A環を透して本体の南極付近が見えているようです。
本体やB環の外側が明るいのは、画像処理の影響だと思います。

Imaged the +63 disturbance June 25th in reasonable seeing and have 2 hours of Saturn rotation, all with the feature visible.
Note; the final 30 minutes of the session was effected by cloud so all data used for the last two data sets of the animations was effected, that said, the extended structure of the feature is still well seen.

We have been testing a new colour cam for ZWO so it has been a balancing act
between capturing iR images via the ASI174MM & using the ASI224 colour
camera...swapping between each & re-collimating is a real effort during
imaging but I am close to resolving the problems so that we can seamlessly
interchange between a mono & this new osc...
This is to state that the ASI224 has become our cam of choice for "straight"
rgb captures - its' performance is quite outstanding, especially considering
the very average seeing conditions we've experienced of late...over the last
few years we have noticed that as opposition recedes further into the past
it becomes increasingly difficult to capture good rgb's, probably due to the
seasonal influences - so the rgb colour cam results are most gratifying for
us!
It is very low noise & high sensitivity - of course we hope for a mono
sensor with similar (or even better!) characteristics to appear before too
long - but in the meantime the ASI224 is a real pleasure to use....!
Not much to report with iR images of Saturn although we did manage to image
the +63N spot etc in the 742nm images with some other bright & dark
spots...here is our 25th June including the very first ASI224 colour
image.
