Here are more images of Neptune, from 17th October 2017. These display another (very bright) near-equatorial bright spot, the same one from the 14th & according very well with Marc Delcroix' recently-compiled ephemeris...as mentioned in earlier reports, these have become quite frequent this current apparition & are the focus of ongoing studies by both Keck & PVOL where their presence in such high-velocity, windy latitudes is gaining much interest... The seeing conditions were very poor this night also (worse than 14th in many ways) but we managed a simple 2-frame animated sequence as well as one reasonably clear image for measurement purposes. :)
