1)地上観測を基にした解説（Comments based on images shot on the earth）
前日、Efrain Morales Rivera氏の発見した光斑は大きく広がった。この様子はJohn Boudreau氏・Joseph Rueck・発見者の
Efrain Morales Rivera氏らが観測報告を送ってこられた。前日のIR画像では、はっきりしないが、このダストストームは北西部から、
今の位置に移動してきたもののようで、光斑の後方には彗星のような尾が見られる。この尾がダストストームの進路だとすると、
30度程度の長さがあり、5月30日よりも前に発生した可能性がある。
Efrain Morales Rivera氏は、自らの観測から2日間の変化をまとめた画像を報告された。それによると、光斑は30日より北にこん
棒状に広がった姿をしていることが分かる。尾は、画像を見比べると31日の方が鮮明に見えるが、これは観測条件や画像処理による
もので、実際の変化ではないようだ。
南極冠からArgyre方面に白い突起が見えるが、これは極冠エッジダストストームである。MRO画像に鮮明に記録されている。
John Boudreau氏の画像でもその様子がよくわかる。この画像ではMare Acidariumの上空はヘイズが広がっているように見える。
南極冠は、季節極冠の内側が砂漠色に記録され、現在はドーナツ状に明るい部分ができていることが分かる。
The light spot discovered by Mr. Efrain Morales Rivera the day before spread greatly. This situation was sent by Mr. John Boudreau,
Mr. Joseph Rueck,discoverer Mr. Efrain Morales Rivera and others. Although it is not clear in the IR image of the previous day,
this dust storm seems to have moved from the northwest to the present position,and a tail like a comet is seen behind the light spot.
If this tail is the course of the dust storm,there is a length of about 30 degrees and there is a possibility that it occurred before May 30.
Efrain Morales Rivera reported images that summarized the changes over the two days from their observations. According to it,it is understood
that the light spot spreads like a club stick north from the 30th. When comparing the images,the tail looks clearer on the 31st,
but this is due to observation conditions and image processing,it does not appear to be an actual change.
White protrusions can be seen from SPC to Argyre direction,this is Polar Cap Edge Dust Storm. It is clearly recorded on the MRO image.
The image of Mr. John Boudreau also shows how it looks like. In this image Hayes seems to be spreading above Mare Acidarium.
In the SPC,the inside of the seasonal polar cap is
recorded in the desert color,and now it turns out that a bright part is formed in a donut shape.

2)MRO画像を基にした解説（Comment based on the image from MRO）
全体の広がりは前日と大きくは変わらないが、ダストストームの最も濃い部分は、西に移動している。雲頂には波状のしわのような構
造が南西方向に向かって並び、非常に活動的であることを示している。発生地点から、今日まで同じ方向に一直線に広がってきている。
地上からの観測では、ＭＲＯの画像よりも濃淡がよく分かり、通り過ぎてきた部分は、まるで彗星の尾のような姿に記録されている。
The whole spread is not greatly different from the previous day, but the darkest part of the dust storm is moving to the west.
A wavy wrinkle-like structure lined in the southwest direction at the cloud top, indicating that it is very active. From the
point of occurrence, it is spreading in the same direction until now. In the observation from the ground, the shade is better
understood than the image of the MRO, and the part which has passed by is recorded as if it is like a tail of a comet.
