A real pity that I had less than ideal atmospheric conditions for Saturn's opposition yesterday.
However, the interesting Seeliger effect was well seen. The planet shows as a bit dim,
but I have deliberately retained the true brightness contrast, whilst trying to ensure that the brightest regions were not "burned out".
To the best of my knowledge, this is 5-6hrs after true opposition.
I also took the opportunity to capture some CH4 data.
However,in this instance I have adjusted the gamma slightly to brighten the planet's disk.
Unless proven otherwise,I am assuming the bright features on the inside of the rings are artefacts.
