A fine seeing of 0.66 arc seconds despite a strong northwest wind, medium altitude and cirrus clouds.
Jet stream speeding to 40 m/s but zero wind at ground level and temperature of 19 degrees Celsius.
These conditions provide smooth observation run in between clouds which have provided good data to be processed.

Two sets of data from yesterday evening.

Not great seeing, but also not too bad either. The festoons are really impressive in this region.
The teardrop shape of Oval BA can be seen. In the IR it looks like there is a long
(interconnected?) string of small SEBs rings approaching the GRS hollow,
so it will be interesting to see if they have any effect on the GRS,
particularly as the chimney is giving indication that it may close soon.

I was amazed that I got any detail. Jetstream seeing was very turbulent,at times Jupiter had straight edges!

More of those bright outbreaks,a new rift forming on NEB,looking at the CM and the relative position of
other features I realize it happened to occur to the left of the area of the last one I saw five nights before.
The seeing was good enough to allow me to see some details on S3TB domain, mainly on the following side of the belt, with dark and also not so dark areas/sebments.
An oval is barely seen on S4TZ. An oval is also seen on the N3TB domain on the folliwing side.

Imaged Jupiter July 28th in only fair seeing.
In support of Glenn Orton’s run with Subaru I have taken two Ch4 runs centered 1 hour apart each night
I have imaged through the week he had Subaru,so July 28th,29th & 30th.
The first Ch4 run at the start of the session was significantly cloud effected but it cleared away for the rest of the session. The 2nd Ch4 run does seem to show the recent wave form seen in the EZ which rotates in L3 not L1.
The 685nm IR,R and RGB data does resolve some detail. I note two tiny bright spots on the Southern edge of the NPR.
A formation of very small compact dark spots are seen aligned in the NTB.
Very fine structure is resolved within the NEB with a quite prominent bright spot seen at all wavelengths near the Southern edge.
Some detail is resolved along the Southern edge of the SEB with three small bright ovals aligned across the SSTB.
