Here's the first light of the brand new ASI462MC,unfortunately in not adequate seeing.
The image comes from a single 3 minutes video, not derotated.

Seeing conditions during my session were poor-fair,and there was a visible sky haze flowing through that was visible to my all-sky camera.
Regardless, the CH4 seemed to turn out all right.

Very surprisingly this near-IR data produced some results after derotating 7 stacks.

Hi - here are images from last night (July 29th) where we experienced a very short period of about a half-hour where the sky was clear:
before this it was cloudy & afterwards it started to rain! ;)
Some really nice detail in & around the GRS as well as elsewhere is evident: the small storms & turbulence akin to small storm bubbles flow into
& around the GRS,with suggestions of the interaction between it & the fast-closing OvalBA...
the so-called "chimney" is open & a lot of other detail can be seen spread across the entire disk well into the polar regions.
3 other acptures from this night are also provided in a composite image...

Given the seeing conditions last night,I felt that RGB imaging would have been a waste,so I skipped to 2 quick IR's and a string of CH4's.
One of the IR's came out surprisingly well and the methane band seems to cut through the bad seeing at least to some extent.
I'm not 100% certain, but I believe the equatorial waves noted by John Rogers may be visible in the CH4 image.

梅雨前線の南側だが、西から東むきの気流が激しく像が激しく揺れ、画像に破綻による線が出ています。
雲もあり、明るさも変化、その後曇り、朝まで晴れませんでした。昼間は久々の青空が見えていたのですが。

Under poor conditions,Jupiter with GRS rising and Europa and Io:

Imaged Jupiter July 29th in fair seeing, again to support Glenn Orton's run with Subaru I have included two Ch4 runs centered just over one hours apart.
Have good coverage of the region preceding the GRS. I note a medium size red oval on the edge of the NPR in RGB and Ch4 close to the F limb.
Three prominent dark features are spaced across the Southern edge of the NEB,associated with festoons.
Fine detail is resolved in the band running along the Northern edge of the SEB and a bright oval is seen close to the CM in the SSTB.
