Comment by Makoto Adachi

Mr. Clyde Foster's image shows a white pattern south of Argyre (30W, -50). It seems that part of the SPC is visible. A white cloud is
visible to the north of Sinus Sabaeus (320W ~ 350W, -10), which may be an water ice cloud. Mr. Niall MacNeill's image shows
a white cloud of Elysium Mons( 215W, +30) near sunset. Mr. Ethan Chappel Cibolo's image shows a white cloud at Olympus Mons
( 135W, +25), showing the same change as Elysium Mons.

I was up a bit late this morning (hey, its Valentine’s day....) and only managed one data set before rapidly moving on to Jupiter.
Reasonably happy with the result despite some edge artefact on the bright limb.
Very similar view to yesterday, with frosty Argyre I at top centre and some equatorial cloud.

Mars, which is now just over 5 arc secs in apparent diameter,
once again displays extensive cloud over the south polar region and partially obscuring the Hellas Basin.
The Mare Tyrrhenium is central and Utopia Planitia can be seen to the north.
There are quite thick clouds over Elysium Mons.

Stepping outside and feeling the cold air, I immediately saw a meteor heading south between Mars and Antares.
I had decent seeing and excellent transparency while imaging the red planet.
Notes:
Orographic clouds are covering Olympus Mons and Pavonis Mons.
The South Polar Cap is emerging from winter. It will shrink significantly as Mars approaches opposition.
