頻繁に雲が発生する不安定な状況でしたが、シーイングはまずまずでした。
≪滋賀県守山市 森田光治≫[Mitsuji Morita:Siga Japan]
夜半になって、急に晴れ間が出てきた。シーイングは非常によくなり
今期最良だった。600倍でもよく見えるが、次の大きな雲が迫ってきて
いるため。細部まで確認しながら描くことはできなかった。残念である。
STｒ beltは暗斑の南側で確かに見えないが、STｒZの南部と北部と
には明らかな明暗の差があり、それがベルトになって見えるように思う。
たぶん黒いベルトとしては存在しない。
GRS Hollowの前に引っ掛かっているリング暗斑は、鍵のように曲がっ
て見える。2日間同じ位置で同じ姿のままである。おかしな現象である。
NNTBから北側は淡いもやもやした暗斑が一杯見えるが、位置のはっきり
しているものだけを描きこんだ。詳しく見ても意味はないだろう。
GRSは南側だけアーチが見えるが、それほど濃くはない。北側には
見えない。色は南半分が濃く、オレンジがかった赤色に見える。今日は
あまり円く感じない

雲が多くダメかと思いましたが、夜半過ぎに晴れ間が1時間ほどあり、スケッチが取れました。
大赤斑が右端に見え始めたタイミングで、STrBが大赤斑前方で淡くなっているのがよくわかりました。
完全には消えていないようですが、RS Bay先端にある暗斑に向かってカーブしていました。
このスケッチの後は風向きが変わってすっかり曇ってしまいました。
最近の画像を測定してわかったのですが、この暗斑は大赤斑直前で減速しているようで、
形もSTrBに向かって流れたようになっています。ちょっと気になる変化です。

Image set from last night with Oval BA near the CM. There is a dark feature in the far north in the CH4.
I also note the thin,dark red barges in the south of the SEB.
DS6 does appear to be well and truly "captured" by Oval BA,
and it is interesting to see the contrast in the CH4 and UV,where DS6 is UV bright,
but Oval BA is almost invisible in UV. DS7 is approaching the limb at lower right.
I had to content with moderate jet stream conditions,which are forecast to ease off (thankfully!) in the next few days.

Hello - here are Jupiter images taken on 28th July 2021 in seeing conditions where the jet-stream at 300HPa was running at 300km/hr:
despite this the seeing was quite good with a couple of rgb’s (one a WinJUPOS integration)
& an animation revealing a reasonable amount of detail & displaying activity in the SEB following the GRS.
Also an ir610nm image is included with a “comical” smiley feature seen in GRS detail!

Was out early Wednesday morning imaging Jupiter amid slightly better than average seeing (6/10)
and not very good transparency (3/6),probably partially due to the smoke from the wildfires.
Io’s shadow was about to roll off the cloud tops at the start of the session,and the moon itself soon appeared.
There was a single prominent barge in the NEBn.
There was a surprisingly strong band in the NPR,and I believe we’re seeing the NN-LRS preceding that band.
In the SSTB there is a white spot,possibly A7?
