夕方から空一面に、巻雲が広がり、その下を高積雲が違う方向に動く。上下2層の気流が上空を覆っていた。
最初は、案の定最悪だったが、ほどなくシーイング3になった。しかしその後曇天に。
(Syrtis Major:293W,+0~20)の先がかなり見えにくかった。コントラストが低くなったせいかもしれない。

A brief window in the weather last night, with reasonable seeing. Cold at -5C.
Mars at just over 7",〓possible haze or cloud at the 2 o'clock position on the disc.

The seeing was really very good. In Integrated light Mare Erythraeum was sharp and quite dark,as was Aurorae Sinus.
Sinus Sabaeus could be seen setting despite mist beginning to shroud it as it approached the limb.
I was struck with how dark Oxia Paulus,Indus and Oxus were, appearing bluish grey in the north east,
with the bluish NPH further to the north.
In the south Argyre appeared to be misty,so did Noachis which was approaching the limb.
〓
The view with a W21 orange filter was excellent.
The NPH disappeared almost entirely in this filter, but there was an extremely narrow,
bright slither still visible right on the northern limb which had a sharp southern edge.
〓
The view in W80a blue was only a little less steady.
In this filter I became aware of evening mist in Eden,some faint mist in Chryse,and some morning mist in Tharsis;
these three areas appearing to link together to form something like an equatorial cloud band, albeit very tenuous.
The southern parts of the disc were also misty, with a concentration in brightness at the pole. The slow formation of the SPH continues.

In the first image, there is Sinus Meridiani right of the center,in the last,Solis Lacus has emerged on the left.
Mars still appears yellowish and with rather low contrast in wide regions, except in the north.
Also, the preceeding limb appears bright, concentrated in two sections north and south of the equator.
This effect decreases with time/rotation. In the first image, there seems to be morning haze over Argyre near the terminator.
