Nice to be back in the observatory after a few days off,as I had picked up a cold. Not a long session and only captured R and IR.

Imaged Saturn June 20th covering just over two hours of Saturn rotation in mostly good seeing. The best of the data is very good. A quite spectacular structure has formed within the EZ and is particularly well seen in my 685nm IR data. I had been searching for the v-bright EZ plume from June 5th,initially I thought I had found it but if so,the drift rate just doesnft look right. However, what is happening in this region of the EZ looks quite amazing. There are many bright plumes but what stands out is quite an extensive dark linear feature that is snaking through the EZ surrounded by bright plumes.
I also have nicely resolved the 2010 GWS AV which is at approx Lat+42.7 L3 348.9. The drift rate of the EZ plume just in the Southern hemisphere seems strange, the plume is at similar latitude and looks like the June 5th plume, I measure it to be at approx Lat ¬0.9 degrees L1 116 there are many other bright plumes but one of the brightest is at approx Lat+1.1 L1 94 the dark linear feature is centered at approx Lat+4.5 and extends in longitude from L1 82.9 to L1 108.9 it is well positioned crossing the CM in the 685nm IR data from 16:40 UTC. All of the EZ plumes and dark structure are very well seen in the 685nm IR animation with data sets at approx 30 minute intervals covering a period of just over two hours. Have also made polar maps of the best 685nm IR and RGB data. Of course I have IR, RGB and also CH4 animations. The CH4 animation covers an hour of Saturn rotation and movement of a thin bright linear EZ feature is seen along with a very thin dark linear feature just above the bright one.

here are Saturn images captured on June 20th 2021 -
an rgb image at 120% of capture scale & the same image at capture scale along with the individual filter images that it consists of.
Despite the seeing conditions significant banding was evinced on Saturn's disk, with possibly a feature or 2 visible under close scrutiny... ;)
