Imaged Saturn September 29th targeting a CM transit of the 2010 GWS AV.
There was a considerable region of unsettled weather approaching form the West
and the lightning tracker showed concentrated activity not far from my observatory.
Initially the seeing was very bad but it did settle enough for one 9 minute 685nm IR run
that was centered 25 minutes past the predicted CM transit.
After this data run the flashes of dry lightning, something we often see out here in the outback,
made my mind up to disconnect the power from all the electronics in my observatory and to pack up for the night.
This data was just good enough to resolve the AV which is approx Lat+41.1 L3 304.8 the predicted L3 was 301
but that ephemeris was framed from April 25th using a drift of -0.5 degrees/day
and since then the AV has drifted even further South which has resulted in a further reduction in its Westerly drift.
