Here’s a full set of RGB,IR & Methane band images from the evening of the 24th September.
The longitude of PJ45 was setting on the right of the first images,
but the GRS was in prime view through most of the session in reasonable conditions.
Ganymede disappeared into eclipse during the second RGB,partially eclipsed in that image.
Jupiter is as large as it ever gets,at 49.9”- and today it may even be as close as it will get in my lifetime-
I think the next time it’s closer is in 2129,last time was 1951 & 1963!

Seeing was moderate, and the first RGB and CH4 have good detail,
with CH4 detail into the high northern latitudes and to the polar hood, with one bright AWO on the edge of it.
There is an NEBs disturbance north of the GRS,with a small outbreak and some darker bluish patches.
Some darker NEB material is reaching round one of the NEBn AWOs (White Spot Z I think).
The GRS is fairly quiet with the chimney only partially open,
and an interesting wrinkle in the GRS wake just f. the GRS,below two large fading plumes.
The very dark STB barge/spot is rising. I slipped up in my first image with the filterwheel not properly set up -
it’s a red filter rather than the usual IR (pretty similar wavelength coverage though).
