Hi all,here's an image of Jupiter from last night combining 2 x 600nm longpass recordings.
Seeing conditions deteriorated after these were done and prevented any more usable data being recorded.
The GRS can be seen rising on the limb at lower left,with a lot of turbulent activity visible across the disk.

Weather had been very bad during the last few days. Today I had to image though clouds.
Transparency was very poor. I used the QHY5III462C for these images.
The GRS looks very oblate. The chimney above the GRS is open. The wake of the GRS is very active.
The SEB above the GRS is pale! The NEB shows a huge cyclonic spot.

久しぶりの晴天ですが、典型的な冬のシーイングでした。
2周目に入ったSTrB先端は、だいぶ長くなりました

Image set from yesterday evening. There was a stiff breeze blowing,
which in Centurion would typically kill off the session,
but I was reasonably happy,despite non-ideal conditions,to continue,given what I was seeing on screen.
Its way too early to make a call on the seeing conditions here,but I must say,
I have a good feeling about it.
GRS was rising.
I made some good progress with the polar drift alignment,but still need to fine tune the collimation.

Predicted good seeing on the 3rd turned out pretty mushy here,but a GRS transit is always nice.
Disappointing methane in this set,then clouds came in before I tried another methane image.
Nothing especially dramatic in the set,though the GRS wake looks pretty active.
