Hi all, here's an image of Mars from this morning using 750nm longpass for the Red data to try and offset the poor seeing and low altitude.
This image was made from data captured over more than an hour and derotated in WinJupos.

Here is a Mars report performed last 20th using the 154mm cassegrain.
Images were poor to a little better.
Brightnesses are plotted against the overall general pattern of maria.

Was this the night of nights for this opposition? I don't hope so,but seeing from Nov. 19th to 20th was far the best in the last weeks. So I observed Mars for more than seven hours. The attached image is from near of the end of the session. There is more to come from this night.
Mostly interesting is the daily changing development of the ice clouds over north pole. Very different compared to the morning of Nov. 19th. Acidalium Planitia is a good place for turbulent martian weather as it seems.
Resolution for this part of Mars already better than during the 2020 opposition.
