I wasn't going to try Saturn after an aborted Mars session this morning, due to horrendous seeing. However,
I swung over and it appeared that Saturn held up a bit better than Mars in the conditions, although still far from ideal.
I ran 9x90s R captures over a 15 min period, of which I eventually derotated 6.
I was off course interested to see if the alleged "sunlight sliver" from the 5 April would be visible,
but, to my eye, nothing is obvious. Given the conditions, maybe not a surprise.
I assume it would be best to direct stack this feature rather than derotating,
but I am happy to "follow the data" and see what results come out over the next month.
There may be a light spot in the EZ, but again, would need confirming.
