低空の雲があるうちはまだ気流はマシでしたが、
その後、それらの雲が吹き払われた後はひどい状態となりましたので、
今日は1枚だけとなります

好天続きの後の雨天直後の撮影で、シーイングも悪く、風も強く、不明瞭な画像しか得られなかった。

寒冷前線通過後、晴れて来ました。ただ気流は悪く、20ｃｍの絞りを付けました。
40分後の2枚目はさらに写りが悪く、報告は諦めました

透明度は良かったものの風が強く、高度が高くなってもシーイングは改善されませんでした

前線の通過後で、シーイングはすっかり悪くなりました。
NEBの局所的拡幅部は北縁の膨らみがなくなり、NEBnのバージが最も北寄りの模様として見えます。
バージとWSZの間は平坦で、拡幅部にあった大きな明部(昨年のループの名残)もすっかり暗くなっています。
今年初めに始まった局所的拡幅は完全に終息したようです。

Hi all,brief moments of favorable seeing and transparency allowed,
yesterday night,one of the first imaging data sessions post opposition,
where several CH4- band and continuum filters were used to probe the
vertical structure of the Jovian atmosphere. This time,CH4 727nm,CH4
890nm and Continuum 750nm were used. In a previous session (early Nov 07;
will post in the following days),these plus an additional CH4-band filter
(1000nm) and another continuum filter (950nm; more appropriate for the
890nm and 1000nm CH4 filters) were used.
Briefly,the CH4-band 890nm filter is expected to probe down to 0.3-0.5
bar,the CH4-band 727nm filter down to about 3 bar,and the continuum
filters at least down to 6-10 bar.

We had a clear night for a short time on 7th November and I was able to make an observation of Jupiter in average seeing conditions.
There were a number of points of interest on the disk:
S3TB - SSTB: Both these belts were seen- also present were two white ovals seen in the SSTB.
STB: This belt was quite dark and striking on the prec side of the disk but seemed to fade out after the CM
on the following side of the disk.
STropZ: Generally a white zone,fairly bright
SEB: Very broad,the SEB(s) was greyish and somewhat irregular.
The SEBz was an orange colour with darker sections observed. The SEB(n) was greyish in colour but fainter than the southern component.
EZ: Bright and contained a bluish EB and a number of festoons.
NEB: Quite broad- considerable activity observed; near the prec limb a large rift could be seen.
A number of darker sections within the belt observed.
Also the northern edge of the belt was somewhat 'jagged' in appearance.
NTropZ: A bright white zone- again a thin blue belt was seen,I am taking this to be the remnent of the NTB.
NPR: Yellowish,but grey towards the far north. Some faint greyish markings observed here.
By 2104UT seeing became to poor to continue,clouds came up not long after.
