HELLAS、ARGYRE T、LIBYAと北極付近そして北極の明け方に雲が有ります。北極付近は北極冠かも知れません。

シーイングの変動が大きく、メチャメチャになる事も多く、カラーフィルター撮影はIRとBのみになりました。

Seeing was very unstable today. These images show Sinus Sabaeus and Sinus Meridiani. Syrtis Major is moving east now and should be more visible in the coming days. There are clouds over Mare Acidalium on the upper left. Part of the polar cap is visible now. There is some thin clouds over the Hellas Basin.

The 18th brought one clear night in a long and ongoing bad weather period. But conditions were below average. Anyway, with an apparent size of 12.3" and decreasing, the good times are over esp. for observing with smaller apertures.
The p-limb at 21:00 UT shows two bright sections, one near the equator, one further south. Fainter haze layers seem to be present in various regions in the southern half. Remnants of the NPH appear only weak, but, around 23:20 UT,they reach quite far down to moderate northern latitudes in the morning terminator.
In visual observation, the bright p-limb at ~21:00UT also appeared very prominent. But generally, contrast seemed to be low, even when using a R filter.

After weeks with clouds and/or bad seeing a good mars evening. Rarely had better green and blue channels before during this apparition. Still many clouds and haze around. Seems still to be the NPH around the north pole,no ice cap visible. Note fine cloud band and lumps in midnorthern latitude.

Sending this year's Mars images for the archives, only four of them this far. January was terrible weatherwise here.
On Mars, the slim northern cap and thin polar hood has been visible, and Argyre was bright on the ev limb on Jan 18.
